The Edgewater Seniors are once again hosting the Valley Cup Bowling Tournament at the Edgewater Legion on April 13 beginning at 10 a.m.

Teams from Edgewater, Invermere and Radium will be taking part again in the tournament.

The event has been happening for almost to 20 years, according to Edgewater team member Joyce Lang.

“It is a once-a-year event when we all come together and see who is the best,” Lang said with a laugh.

Lang went on to explain that the main thing behind the event is for people to gather and have a good time.

Whoever wins the trophy gets to take it back to their home town and gets to bring the bragging rights home with them as well.

“Some people are  a little more competitive than others but we all like to do our best,” Lang said.

On the day of the event there will be a lunch break followed by the finals at about 1 p.m. The trophies will be presented to the finalists at approximately 2 p.m to close the event.
