The David Thompson Secondary School boys junior and senior soccer teams are coming off of a successful stretch of games.

The junior boys team has won second place in the East Kootenay Region following their games October 21 and 22.

The finals were held in Creston, and the team suffered their only defeat against a Creston team to finish an otherwise successful season.

The senior boys team won their match 3-0 against Kimberley on October 29 in Kimberley.

Their next step is to face Golden on Tuesday November 8 in Invermere, likely at the soccer field at J.A. Laird Elementary, to determine who will take first place in the East Kootneay region.

Both teams will also advance to the high school soccer provincials held in Burnaby from November 21 to 24.
