Thomas Neil Frizell passed away at Langley Memorial Hospital on Friday, October 28, 2011, in his 86th year. Tom was born on the family farm in the North Elmsley Township near Perth, Ontario, on July 31, 1925. He was the youngest son of the late Charles Henry Frizell and the late Elsie Irene Darou. Tom was predeceased by his siblings Helen, Art, Charlie, Frank, Ernie, and Bob and is survived by his sister Anne. Tom will be missed by his wife of 55 years, Alice Frizell of Langley, B.C. and daughters Louise Avent (Brian) of Richmond, B.C., Barbara Vandyck (Andy) of Duncan, B.C. and Sharon Frizell (Al) of Cloverdale, B.C. Grandpa will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Michael Hickey (Jennifer), Julia Bergman (Dave) and Glenn Avent (Cathy) and great-grandchildren Kaila, Nolan, Tobin and Westin. Tom moved to Invermere in 1956 where he worked for BC Hydro until his retirement in 1986. Tom and Alice moved to Summerland, B.C. in 1997 and then Langley, B.C. in 2007 to be closer to family. In memoriam tributes to Tom can be made to the BC Wildlife Fund, the BCSPCA, the Windermere Valley Minor Hockey Association or the charity of your choice.
