It is with great sorrow and very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lorna Mary Selden, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister.

Lorna was a kind, loving, compassionate gentle soul, who lived and loved life to the fullest.

Gone now are the days we used to share, but in our hearts you will always be there. We will miss you more than anyone knows, and the memories will never be forgotten.

Lorna loved cooking, baking, reading, gardening and embroidery, but most of all she loved her family and friends. Her proudest day was when she held her 5 month old granddaughter Elizabeth for the first time. Extremely proud Grandma!

Never a day passed that she didn’t have a smile on her face, and was always ready with a loving embrace.

Lorna is survived by her loving husband of 24 years Lorne Selden of Creston; son Wes (Stacey) Curry of Castlegar; granddaughter Elizabeth Curry of Castlegar; mother Fanny Rauchert of Creston; brother Larry (Elke) Rauchert of Surrey; sisters Rose (Burt) Olson of Peace River and Sandra Rauchert of Creston; nieces Lori Martineau of Creston and Natasha Rauchert of Surrey; nephews Jason (Nancy) Olson of Grand Prairie, Larry-John Isaac of Creston and Clarence Selden of Cranbrook. As well as many close friends.

Lorna was predeceased by her father Emil Rauchert, first husband Bob Curry and son Billy Curry and three brothers.

Memorial donations can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or The Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Forever will be loved and never forgotten. We love you deeply Lorna!
