Beryl was born May 10, 1917 to Lilias and Thomas Luxton in Cardiff, Wales and came to Toronto, Canada as a child. She passed away peacefully February 14, 2012 in her 95th year with her family by her side.
Bird, as she was fondly known to many, loved bridge, music and telling her stories. Throughout her life she was feisty, fiercely independent, always polite and maintained her keen sense of humour. She was an active volunteer in her earlier years and travelled extensively later in life.
Beryl is survived by her son Norman (Linda); daughter Pamela (Jack) Schneider; much loved grandchildren, Eric (Nicola) Frape, Andrea Goslin, Jack (Jessica) Schneider, Mark (Sarah) Schneider, Julie (Neil) Carey; and greatly cherished great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Matthew, Will, Cole, Charlotte, Isobel, Thomas and Remington. Beryl was predeceased by her husband Vincent Frape in 1980 after thirty-nine years of marriage. She was married to Hugh Rose in 1984 until his passing in 1997.
Funeral Services were held at St. Georges On-The-Hill Anglican Church (4600 Dundas Street West Toronto, ON) on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
