It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of Frank Thomas Emery at the age of 72 years, on May 14, 2011 in Trail, B.C. Born July 1, 1938 in Vancouver, B.C. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Kathy; children Carolyn, Madelin, Alan, Rosemary Brown (Jeff) and Randy Brown (Jeanelle); sister, Frances (Wally); sister-in-law Linda (Peter), brothers-in-law Ric (Joan) and Dave (Lorri); many nieces and nephews, 2 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews.

Frank greatly enjoyed his golf and badminton, for which he won many tournaments and medals. As well, he worked for many years on golf and badminton committees, enjoying the social and work aspects of both. Frank also loved to play bridge and watch his ‘armchair sports’ and interruptions were not appreciated while watching ‘The Price is Right’. Wine-making, crossword puzzles and travelling south with Kathy in the winter months to ‘keep up his golf’ and enjoy the sun were other things that kept him busy.

A Celebration of Frank’s Life will be held Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. at the Warfield Hall. Bill Clark with Personal Alternative Funeral Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
