The advisory below was lifted late yesterday afternoon. See this Friday’s Pioneer (sister paper) for the full story.
Please be advised that the District of Invermere is issuing a precautionary “boil water advisory.” This advisory is in effect until further notice. While there is still chlorine detected in the water, its concentration is dropping and as such, we are issuing this precautionary advisory. The District’s automated residual chlorine analyzer alerted the public works staff of the dropping chlorine levels and they are working with the system now to correct the problem. If you have any questions or concerns please call Chris Prosser at the District of Invermere office at 250-342-9281 ext 225 or Rob Fleming, Environmental Health Officer at 250-851-7340.
