Zoning changes making it easier to add secondary suites to homes in areas F and G will be presented to the public this winter.

Earlier this month the Regional District of East Kootenay board agreed to look at amendments to the Upper Columbia Valley zoning bylaw.

The bylaw is the only one on the RDEK’s books that doesn’t include provisions for secondary suites.

The additions will allow for suites in detached garages as well as homes.
