Radium to market with a twist

Calgary-based firm Twist Marketing has won the assignment to develop a community branding and marketing plan for the village.

The marketing company that helped Radium with its new Official Community Plan (OCP) will team up with the village once again, as its community branding project kicks into gear.

Calgary-based firm Twist Marketing has won the assignment to develop a community branding and marketing plan for the village.

According to a release from the company, the new campaign will be aimed at “enhancing tourism and encouraging people to live and work in Radium Hot Springs.” An economic development campain is also underway.

The campaign is expected to launch in early 2012.

Twist last worked with the village in 2010, when it conducted a community visioning project that provided information used in the creation of the OCP.

“Our Official Community Plan reflects our desire to be a diverse, self-sufficient mountain community,” mayor Dee Conklin said in the release.

“It’s a more challenging path that requires an aggressive, unique brand to attract the types of people and investment we need to realize our vision.”
