CANAL FLATS — Village of Canal Flats mayor Bruce Woodbury will not be seeking re-election come this November. Following a three-year term as mayor, Woodbury will be stepping down to focus on his business, Headwaters Development Consulting.

“Although I achieved a number of the goals I set for myself when I was elected to council there is more that I would like to see done for the community,” Woodbury said. “I believe, however, that there are other residents that are quite capable of doing a good job on council and achieving those same goals, they just need to step up to the plate. I found my time on council a rewarding experience and I thank the community for giving me that opportunity. I encourage others to consider running in the upcoming village elections.”
