Advance polls for this year’s local government elections are open in Radium Hot Springs and the District of Invermere until 8 p.m. tonight.
Voters looking to get their ballots in early can visit the village office at 4836 Radium Boulevard or the District of Invermere office at 914 8th Avenue.
To be registered to vote, resident electors need to bring along two pieces of ID, at least one of which has a signature. Photo identification is not required. If your ID card doesn’t have your address on it, you’ll need to fill out a form to make a “solemn declaration” as to where you live, which will be provided on site.
For more on voting requirements and whether you’re eligible, check out the B.C. government’s Local Government Elections Frequently Asked Questions page here.
General voting day runs November 19 at the Radium Seniors Hall and the Invermere Community Hall from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
