Brush up on avalanche safety at Pano

Planning to hit the slopes at Panorama this weekend?

Now is also your chance to brush up on some essential skills that could someday save your life.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on January 21 and 22, Avalanche Awareness Days will be held at the Panorama Summit.

There will be demonstrations, skill stations, information sessions and prizes, preceded by the showing of the free avalanche safety film The Fine Line, which screens at the Great Hall on Friday, January 20 at 6:30 p.m.

There will also be fundraising for the Canadian Avalanche Foundation’s variety of programs that target education for youth.
