Pink Shirt Day changed up its aim slightly this year, telling Tweeters, Facebookers, and Instagrammers to add to their hashtagging – anyone who wanted to participate in B.C. and across Canada was encouraged to share their photos-in-pink and to use the hashtag #PinkItForward.
The slogan in 2015? ‘Pink Shirt Day says ENOUGH’, which you can see ironed across the shirt in the photo above. (Staffers are at our Black Press National Sales office are repping the gear today, the anti-bullying feel-good Wednesday presented by sponsors Coast Capital Savings and CKNW’s Orphans Fund.)
As always, you’re encourage to tag @PinkShirtDay and to use the hashtag #PinkShirtDay in any photos of statuses you post and share.

Pink Shirt Day’s goal is to spread a message that rallies against bullying – both in school and after it – and unites everyone in that cause.
“We know the Internet can be a pretty negative place, and that this negativity can lower self-esteem and create bullying behaviour,” said the organizers of Pink Shirt Day, in a press release last week. So the goal, of course, would be to combat that.
And promos for Pink Shirt Day have tended to also sympathize with the stereotypical high school bully, too – this commercial says that many ‘bullies’ are themselves lonely and self-conscious, too.
