About 25 David Thompson Secondary School students are taking part in the 30 hour famine today.

Students from each grade are taking part in the event, which aims to fight hunger in the Horn of Africa by raising money for water, safety, food and education for families in need. Students will fast from about noon on Thursday until about 7 p.m. the next day, April 6.
