COLUMBIA VALLEY — Whether you’re rooting for the Rockies, flying the Flames’ flag, or showing your Canuck pride, the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce and The Valley Echo want to reward you for getting into the hockey spirit during first annual B.C. Eastern Regional Pond Hockey Championships in Invermere.
To get in on the contest, all you need to do is pull on your favourite hockey jersey or t-shirt, then head out for an afternoon of fun in Radium Hot Springs, Fairmont or Invermere some time during the championships, which run February 3 to 5.
Mystery photographers will be on the prowl in all three communities at some point over the weekend, scanning the crowds for dressed up pond hockey supporters to photograph.
If you think you’ve been snapped, check The Valley Echo’s print edition on Wednesday, February 8 to see if your picture has been selected. If your face is in the paper, you can win fun prizes from the CV Chamber.
If you see your face, head to the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce at the Highway 93/95 crossroads to pick up your swag.
While you’re out waiting to be seen, why not check out the results from the Chamber’s other pond hockey contest?
Businesses in all three communities will be decorating their windows and interiors in hockey style. If you’re dressed up, you’ll fit right in.
