On a day that saw cold, blustering winds, Remembrance Day ceremonies took place across the region. In both Invermere and Edgewater on November 11, people gathered to pay their respects and observe moments of silence in honour of soldiers lost in past wars and current members of the military serving abroad. The ceremonies were well attended as members of both communities as well as provincial representatives of the various branches of armed service laid wreaths at the foot of the Invermere and Edgewater cenotaphs.
