This week’s article is a little taste of what’s going on at Pynelogs right now, and what is in the works for upcoming events.
If you haven’t already come in to check out the great show we are featuring right now, you will want to make it down this week! We are currently featuring work from six unique artists; Kelly McAteer, Cathy Parkes, Janice Edwards, Lori Lees Stout, Lisa Adams, and Kyla Brown.
These artists are a diverse bunch and each bring their own individual style to their wall art.
This show will stay up until June 26 so there is still time to come down and enjoy it.
Our schedule of upcoming summer workshops has also been finalized and is now available on the CV Arts website.
Posters will be going up soon as well. The workshops offered this summer promise to be a great experience for a variety of age groups and interests such as acrylic painting, jewelry making, songwriting, digital film making, pottery, and much more. Be sure to check out the schedule and sign up for a workshop that peaks your (or your child’s) interest.
Mountain Mosaic Festival of the Arts is also on the horizon and takes place on Friday July 1st at Kinsmen Beach from 12-3 p.m. The Festival coincides with the Canada Day festivities and if you follow the Canada Day Parade down to the beach you will end up at the Festival.
Mountain Mosaic will be offering such activities as bounce castles, the Transformation Station, Cops for Kids Boat Building, clowns, Mosaic ART tent, food, and plenty of other activities.
This is a fantastic event that runs on volunteer energy and right now the Festival is in need of more of that energy.
If you are interested in joining the team of amazing volunteers who make this happening possible, please contact us down at Pynelogs (250-342-4423) or feel free to stop by and chat.
For more information on any of these events, or any other questions that you may have, please don’t hesitate to phone or stop in. We’d love to see you.
And while you are checking out the art at Pynelogs, why not make time to have lunch at Pynelogs’ Cafe? The Cafe is home of the Scotty Burger and features great daily soup, salad, quiche, flatbread creations and of course the famous Scotty Burger.
Not hungry enough for lunch? They also have delicious desserts that pair perfectly with a warm cup of coffee and a wander around the gallery. The Cafe is open 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Amazing food is another great reason to stop by. The Cafe can be reached at 250-342-1445.
